Hello again fellow Buckeye fans. Welcome to another edition of "Buckeye Bit's". We are here to scour the Internet in an effort to pick out some interesting tidbits for you, our loyal reader. Hopefully you find our efforts worthwhile in this barren wasteland we call the offseason. Let's get to it.
Armageddon? While wasting away at my office on Monday, I came across this scary little article. I am a total space, history and sports buff so anything that falls within those categories quickly catches my eye. What does it have to with the Buckeye's you might ask?
Hell, I don't know but it's interesting nonetheless. If scientists just found this thing last year, imagine how many other threats exist out there in space. I'm going to need at least 2 championships from Urban before we all die in a hail of asteroids so let's get to it coach! Oh, looks like he has.
I'm Losing Hope. I don't want to rain on our little parade here in Ohio but I have a hard time believing that OSU is going to make a run in March. The squad suffered their 2nd loss in 3 games against a very beatable Wisconsin team. Too many things are going wrong sown the home stretch this season.
Craft can't score or hit free throws, Buford shows up every other game now and we have no bench depth. If the season continues on this path, I predict an embarrassing loss in the 2nd or 3rd round of the tourney. Not exactly what we all had in mind when the season began, is it?
The Depression Rolls On. OSU drops two more spots in the polls this week. 'Nuff said. Sigh.....
Rittenberg Rankings. Big Ten blogger Adam Rittenberg just came out with his rankings at the DB position for next season. Usually this is an area of strength for the Buckeyes but our nerdy little friend at ESPN doesn't see it that way.
I don't really blame him for the low ranking though. OSU has a lot to prove next season. It only takes one horrific season to knock a school out of the nations collective mind. Urban will get this squad back to it's rightful place atop the league but it won't happen over night.
Wismar does it again. If any of you read the Bits on a regular basis, you know I have an unhealthy obsession with anything Dan Wismar over at theclevelandfan.com. He does it again! If you have a chance to read his latest, make sure you do. Great stuff.
That's it for today. Thanks for stopping by ITS! Now get back to work before your boss walks behind you without you knowing.
